After Cloverfield

Suddenly video diary is in, tapikan...Rec (movie bakal promote dibawah) slated for 2007 release..confuse sat..so sapa tiru sapa...ke Cloverbitch lambat skit cause nak release time betul2 or the production for Clover is a lil bit longer...whatever it is...aku kagum ngan cerita Rec nih.



Rec is a video diary bout this show, "while ur asleep" (i think) which showcase scenes on what happens while we're asleep (duh)..this time around, they showcase the fireman,however nothing happens..so the reporter was bored (who's way cute btw) and wished something would at least happen...well...she got her wish.

Cerita nih pada asal...aku cam...hmmm seen it..ala sorta typical zombie/infected peeps running around hoping to eat the uninfected.What may be different though is the setting is just one building + the cast are a handfull (u got a cute kid, u got a gay unc, u got couple tua yg dela bakal suka and etc). Other than that it all seems the same that is until!...the bloody ending...sumpah aku takut. WTF is that thing...dan mana derang jumpa manusia tuk cast nih...nasib lah aku tgk petang2..buatnyer tgk memalam...mau nyorok bawah katil.



Apa2 cerita nih bagus..but clovers still the best..cuma nih takut level dia tinggi..Clover production best dan thrill..nih just plain takut. 8/10





Then we have the long awaited (at least for me lah) Diary of the Dead...hmm agak so-so...kecewa gak ah. Video diary yg nih kurang nak berjaya...probally cast tak hebat 1, mungkin juga ia terlalu polish (tau lah cast nih kononyer "film" students..tapi hebatnyer tangkap)..pastuh naration dia pon cam zzzzzz. However editing is slick and FX pon top notch..but it still didnt make the movie great.Storyline oklah...tapi recycle gak cerita2 dari Romero dulu2...yeh "are worth saving"..i get it..like ur 2nd zombie flick..apa kata buat mindless zombie fun bababoom jer...kan aku syok skit.



Oh lupa cakap plot..plot : film students..sedar2 people came back to life..so derang cadang nak wat video diary to show the world...and that's bout it. 7/10 just because its romero's work..kalau tak jamin rendah lagi..specially cause of the forgetable cast.

Initiation

Hi Horror Fans!..

Lama tak wat topic horror related, anyhoo like every year aku watch some horror movies pre b-day..tapi tahun nih satu jer eden tengok..dan tajuknyer The Initiation.
It's a slasher horror flick from the 80s, so please expect a bevy of beauties (well actually one), killer in a jumpsuit, full frontal nudity,shower scenes, cheesy lines, cheesy kills, screaming babes and etc..oh did i mentioned full frontal nudity?

Tapi apa2 pon syok tgk film2 lama nih..lagipon slasher..sekarang slasher tame sangat...walaupon dulu effect cam hampeh..tapi aku rasa recent slasher terlalu..cautious?..entahlah

The Initiation mengisahkan wanita2 sorority nih yg nak add in new pledges..4 to be exact..last task is to do a prank, which was stealing a mall security's uniform (ZZzzZZ much).But there's a killer on the loose and he/she/it/dela is aftering the lead which is played by Princess Vespa!!( ala yg belakon dlm Star Wars parody tuh jadik Princess Leia).

Cerita nih start off sangat buhsan..some kills here and there, then peekaboo (tehee) blah3 u reach the mall and personally it gets better here.The kills are pretty gruesome from here on but expect 80s visual effect.And the most important..I actually liked the ending..didn't at all see it coming..low expectation kot.All in all an a ok flick..worthy of mah time.

Now it got me thinking, kenapa lah takmo remake2 cerita yg relatively unknown nih..it's better than remaking the great horror flicks, (Prom Night xpa cause cerita tuh bagi aku bongok!..tiba2 Jamie Lee nari2 apa kes?)Seriously, cerita nih kalau well made lagi syok..dah ler ada mall...me love mall movies..Mallrats, Phantom of the Mall dan Chopping Mall, so apa kata cuba nasib remake nih..anyhoo esok nak review an even better horror movie aku baru tgk nih..sambil promote kat dela yg sedang online di YM! nih

Officially 26 2 days back...buhsan gak this year..cause benda plan yg sebulan awal tak jadi..kalau tak dah kat tepi pantai dah aku nih..eh i mean baru balik dari pantai...bersama2 rakan2 bainun.Sia2 cuti 2 hari aku...dah ler net takleh pasang dlm 2 hari cuti tu (network card dan modem disambar kilat)Arggh sangat bore..tapi apa2 tujuan post nih nak nyatakan thanks firstly kepada Junai kerana secara tiba2 belanja aku mkn kat some pizza place kat Pavilion,terharu sat...Junaidi nih yeh Junaidi...rasa rare gila nak dibelanja..so thank you gila gila gila.Walaupon end up tgk cerita bodoh bertajuk Forbidden Kingdom (aduhlah monyet tuh) tapi still rasa syok cause dibelanja.

Dan juga tahniah kepada Azian Ger(hehe) kerana berjaya sms 12 tepat..dan pada Izar cause buat post yg berp/s kepada aku.Dan juga Miss Boink kerana ingat lagi bila aku lahir...(jaa! miss boink msg..oh mellow :P) eh dan juga JAA!..lupa lak hang call aku sembang 1 jam plus2..saiko kor,tapi cool.Dan to the others yg sms (eda,makcik2 etc) as well..tambah Abg Ber...u nih..msg sekali dah lah..takyah lah risau ku tak reply.Dan special mention pada Baby Razz...kerana msg kat Facebook jer..dia terlampau macho tuk sms.

OH paling penting kepada Me mom and dad..dan juga cousin aku dan maknyer yg join in celebrate.Thanks all...next week kena start beli hadiah..kalau tak aku nangis tepi corner.

Tadi aku gi Book Fair...atas sebab aku malas lepak umah yg lately kosong nih...dan juga aku cam ada hati nak kuar jalan anywhere..so ada lah cadangan minah "i love books aku sanggup beli 20 buku dlm sehari" ni suh ke Book Fair..arituh gi Matta Fair pon separuh mati..nih book fair..but what the heck..mana tau ada majalah muvie back edition yg best..so mula lah perjalanan...dan fyi first time ever after such a long time..aku naik komuter..DAN harinih lah ia bercadang nak lambat 30 minit..hebat!..ok so fast foward blah3..sampai book fair...waduhhhhhhhh RAMAI nyer manusia..tapi apa aku nak expect kan..nasib lah last2 kawan aku tuh decide nak tangkap gambar ngan this one guy..erm A. Asad?..old man...janggut..pretty warm fellow (ampun aku tak baca novel LANGSUNG)...dan dgn Fadz(refer link di sebelah nih)..tapi perjalanan nak carik miker nih..ayooooooo..mmg aku cranky tahap max dah!..rasa nak jer bunuh semua orang...paling memorable..ada pakcik nih roadblock satu row cause dia bawak stroller??WTF...kor gila apa!!! dah ler menyusahkan manusia keliling..SHESH..dan naib juara seorang makcik tudang agak roundish short2 nih...gila aggressive tolak2 aku..last2 kan aku dah tersentuh kor...ha rasakan aku rasa lapisan lemak2 lebihan kor..(tak sengaja yeh..tapi mmg tersentuh)..

Anyhoo lepas finally abih semua..aku terus ke MIDVALLEY tgk Be Kind Rewind..
Cerita nih besttt!!!



Basically cerita kisah Rundown video store nih..yg occupy this supposedly historical building.Then one eventfull day, Jack Black accidently got Magnetized, and all the video got erased!(it doesnt make sense i know..but plssss ignore that) Desprate Black ngan other black dude reshot all the movies that the store provides..dan gila low budget + campy.

Kenapa aku suka sangat cerita nih?...video store(lebih kurang Empire Record)...pastuh kisah movie making (cam Bowfinger)..dan cerita nih got heart...serious..anyone who ever thought bout directing a movie..lepas tgk cerita nih..possible akan rasa nak angkat video cam pastuh shot cam orang gila..no matter what the outcome..janji kor tau tuh hasil kor.Syok tgk proud moment director/everyone terlibat tgk film nih kat big screen cam dlm Bowfinger, Ed Wood dan cerita nih..
Pastuh cerita nih juga lawak gampang...masa derang reimagine Ghostbusters...aduhhhhhhhhh aku gelak sampai angkat2 kaki bongok gila..ada satu scene nih involve negative film..was to die for..lama tak gelak cam hantu.Pastuh ada lah lagi scene movie2 lain yg derang reimagine..yg syok..cause leh teka2 gak movie apa...and then the very awwwww worthy ending..nice...

Ada cerita Brit nih..tv series..more like mini series kot..cause first season 9 eps jer...agak best..I was searching for Dawson's Creek's on the net..and somehow was told this is better than Dawson..and what do you know...it actually is.It's hillarious!...walaupon susah gak nak tangkap...tapi gila lawak...first episode dah wat aku terpelanting gelak...dan drama cerita nih..fuyoooooo twisted!...budak2 dlm cerita nih leh kata semua twisted..skrg dah masuk season 2...dah 8 eps..and still good..aku dah sampai Season 2 Ep 4..so far still good..tapi emo gak cause cast akan tukar season 3...with reasons...they won't follow these kids through Uni.Demn...Anyhoo aku nak recommend kat korang...but here's the cast first...aku amik the core jer..and 1 fav regular of mine..

Ha I ask y'all...cuba tgk betul2..cam tak budak nih sapa..first time aku nampak mmg cam...eh..cam About a Boy jer..dan mmg betul...gila lah!dah ler betul...teringat terus adengan dia dengor lagu rap shake ur ass tuh..heh.Anyhoo...Tony's the main man...dia hero..but he's a manipulative asshole..and it's refreshing...hero jahat..cool.He uses everyone..his friends..the Gf..however near the end something life changing happens..and personally i think that's a great turn..and from an asshole..i find his current status pretty sad.Anyhoo..great character..one of my fav character in this series.

Michelle



Michelle is the above's GF...she doesn't really stand out for me in the first couple of eps...but when the drama kicks in..yo..she's fiesty..and hot..but thus far..not skin yet??boooooo foul!...and side boob doesn't count yeh!..anyhoo..she's love Tony..however sometimes Tony treats her like shit..but she's ok with it..not until she notices some weird character changes in Tony..she's needs more character developement cause i dunno what else to say.

Sid



The best friend of Tony and Michelle..who actually loves Michelle..and everyone knows bout it,even Michelle..however Tony decides to toy with Sid just to torture the poor sod.His plot is kinda typical however..wait until you see season 2..man..pretty sad.

The stoner and sex addict..who loves the Psychology teacher (who's wicked hot btw)..this dude is the other fav character of mine in the series..i think he has a lot of things to deal with...wtih the mom leaving him alone and being homeless..man I wouldn't want to be in his shoe...oh i forgot to mention that he's freaking funny!..

The good one of the bunch..the one with the least problem (thus far)..i see her as the friend who u'll never have any sexual feelings for..ever..but sometimes might fall for when she's there for you..like always..this lady people..is a good friend..she deserves a BF...someone write her a bf.

Another FAV of mine...the slightly saikotic one...she's really really weird...but cute! soo cute that you forget how weird she could be.And she stands out more than Michelle..love her love her love her..my only concern is that the writers can kill her off..cause she's really unstable...bila2 jer leh mampus.

The gay dude...and sorta like Jal..he's always there for anyone..and suprisingly..Tony...He's best mates with Anwar(muslim yeh)..which i find quite amusing and interesting..and the on and off conflict between them is pretty interesting..He also has a stalker who is CRAZY.not just crazy..SCARY CRAZY

The Muslim...man I would never figured they'll create a muslim guy in this sort of series...i dunno if anyone is affended by how he is potrayed..but i think, it's good enough..not really a saint..but still prays..but he is slightly typical..i mean the minority is always the joker of the bunch.Blacks..Asians..etc

I add in Angie..she's not the core cast..but I just love her..my fav scene is definately when the guys walk in on her @ the showe room..mucho funny..
