First Happy Slapsgiving!

Finally a long awaited holiday for me and my teammates, I'm gonna spend today watching all the shows I've dl, can't go out anyway cause funds x mengizinkan.



So this week got 2 free movie screenings..just my luck I guess. First up was Puss in Boots, and it was a dud. Well not entirely saying the movie is not good, it's just that it brings nothing to the table. I bet kids will like it us adults will just watch it. The early parts were cool, but when in comes Humpty Dumpty everything got boring (for me). Humpty Dumpty was meh, as for Softpaws ..she's ok..I guess. oh oh! Jack n Jill was also very very boring. Overall an average show that I guess only kids will like...me?...ugh.



Then yesterday got tix to 50/50...NOW this movie was awesome..I got in late which was a bummer, it did throw me off awhile but once I settled myself and got into the movie..yum, love it. The movie sorta hit close to me, I guess I was the lead's gf that didn't actually know how to react to someone getting close and ended up being an ass, which I admit I was an ass! but I was an ass that felt bad after. Watching the lead going through cancer also hit close..I can honestly say that they caught the real essence of someone who have cancer, you know the 5? steps, denial-angry etc. The only difference is my dad didn't crack jokes as much as the lead does. Speaking of the lead, Joseph Gordon Levit is the man! he hits all the emotional scenes convincingly, the chic beside me started crying, don't blame her though it was an emotional scene potrayed convincingly by JGL. Seth Rogen surprisingly didn't annoy me as much here, he was a good choice for the best friend..as for the others..they did just fine. In the end, a lot of the audience clapped ... I joined in cause really...this is a great movie for you to ponder on

Am a happy bird

Thank my lucky stars yesterday I got 2 free tix to watch Happy Feet 2, it was that or that sparkling vampire..I opt for Happy Feet 2 of course! Never gonna happen sungguh me watching Breaking Dawn..after Twilight rasa nak jer kelar leher pelahan-lahan.

Anyway gonna keep this short cause am working..I love Happy Feet 2, I actually found it slightly better than the first one. Probably cause the movie felt faster than the first one, the original felt a lil draggy near the end. Another thing I liked about #2 is the songs..they started with Rhythm Nation which is in my book, a great song!..and ended with Under Pressure which surprisingly suits the scene..that song I normally just sang happily in the car..never thought it could suit for other situation, like in this situation to pump up ones spirit (but thinking bout it again it does make sense). Lastly, the father - son conflict plot got me going awww a lot of times..love it.

The things I hated? There's a minor character who started out funny..but got really tired near the end..also the character was sorta like a carbon copy of that Chip? in the Ice Age movie.

And after weeks of moderate or sucky movies (Shark Night, Immortals, In Time) I thank you for Happy Feet 2...seriously..go watch it. Oh go early too cause there's a short cartoon/animation before the movie starts.

So lets be Frank, Immortals sucked balls right? but noooooooo look at IMDB..you gotta be kidding me an average of 8 over 10????!? heh? The comic bookstore guy (heh cam Simpsons lak) that eavesdrop on my conversation with my cuzz about how sucky that movie is (cuzz lom tgk) said the movie was not bad..I'm like eh? Fortunately going to office this morning..a colleague of mine flat out said the movie sucked...and Thank Youuuuu!!!! I'm not alone , seram dah aku ingatkan aku sorang je kata movie ni entah apa-apa. Anyhoo here's a rundown of what happen during the movie, note that the timeline may not be accurate as I'm old and my memory sux specially while watching dumbass white movie.

entering the cinema : ooooooouh underworld 3D! Kate such a hottie and she's near 40!

next preview : another nic cage movie and what's with the hair?...ouh! Guy Pearce!

starts : kejadah awal2 ada potong..sigh censorship, u allow people to bring in infants into cinema but it's a no-no when a scene is overly gory (ok enuff rant)



opening scene : ouuh those titans look menacing...ok wtf is with the dude with the bow headgear?...

history lesson time : ok so Titans are god-like or god? me don't get it (serve me right for relying on the subs too much)

and so it begins : ...lalala boring boring boring..hmm this old dude looks familiar...Gandalf? *note to self gotta check the credits later

paint drying : ...ok who's that bitch that push Theseus's mom into the pond?..the nerve for calling someone whore..ur the whore! (aku emo tetiba) ..heh..another weird headgear.

paint drying not any faster : Theseus commenting on the priest's headgear (seeeeee!)..more boring moments

I'm gonna say Imperial Guards? are coming : ...eh I know that dude..Klaus of Vampire Diaries! ..(yeah I watch Vampire Diaries..sue me)

lalalala : some mindless fighting...and Klaus got "potong tangan" as the subs say...hey at least the subs are entertaining...(potong tangan..bwahahahah!)

traitor : should have figured Klaus is a douche..he got the face for it...eh what the what...oh hell no! anywhere but there..fuh,thank god for censorship..eh?

attack on the village : finally some great action scenes..that Theseus coming to mom's rescue was well choreographed, not as good as the double team action in 300 but still pretty rad.



gods looking over : ...ok seriously what's with the headgear??!?!?!? Poseidon looks like Princess Leia!...and look at em posing looking over the humans...pffft..abih pious ler tu.



enter the boring Oracle : boring Oracle coming through..but lookie what we got here..Stephen Dorff! wohoo! now we're talking. (later)..so that's how Oracle transfer water..I dunno if I should be arouse or disgusted by this..ok I'm going with disgusted . (much later) ..the sisterhood in a trance..eh not sexy enough...but wait! some stabbings occurred..now THAT is sexy!

yadayadayada : Poseidon looking all sly "helping" out the humans and later the sisterhood of the oracle going all Spartacus on Hyperion (and his WTF headgear)....I'm the oracle..no I'm the Oracle...I'm the Oracle!...hehe in my head it was all I'm Spartacus...this is how I amuse myself..god.

more yadas : back at old village..found the bow (how convenient)..minotaur attacks! and no..I wasn't excited..and then the awesome arrow's ability is shown..but if u've seen the trailer it's nothing new...I'm Spartacus! (can't help it)

now that oracle is a ho! : first clear shot of getting laid and she went for it..but what about ur ability dumbass!..at least keep it till all is over...shesh...oh well there are some gratuitous nudity...WHICH IS CUT OUT!

after sex : ..they went to one of Hyperion's base..and somebody is trying to push a cow statue over..I've seen this form of torture before but can't recall where...oh well. and lookie lookie what we have in here..I'M SPARTACUS..I'M SPARTACUS..I'M SPARTACUS..and oracle unconvincingly cries.



god action : yea god to the rescue!!..but but.what the what..everyone on the floor already?..I only saw like 2 kills...haiyaaaaaaaaaa!..oh Zues came..and he looks pissed..and then he whipped Ares..whip him good!

@ some mountain fortress later : maannn the horsies died..sian...and then begins what I feel like a whole lot of yadayadayadas.

fight begins : ..Theseus gave a speech..I didn't buy it..I would have run and wish em all the best..then begins the tunnel fights which was okay..but not great.

Klaus! : ..eh ITU JER??? to quote a friend of mine...MOTIF?



Titans are loose : ...and Steohen Dorff just died (ok I'm over this movie)..but wait the gods came down (without their headgears thank god!)..and battle ensues ..not too shabby..specially when the gods started dying WOHOO..I'm team Titan..kill em kill em all! (p/s: zues must have been kicking himself for killing Ares earlier..he is in fact God of War)...

In the end : The gods lost..Zeus cheated, Hyperion died but I forgot how cause it was too boring...Theseus went somewhere..and fast forward some years later Theseus's kid is looking at Theseus statue that tells/carves the not that awesome event..the carvings are nude I might add..pervs. The end!...oh the credits..John Hurt!..cool...but that's about it.

Aaaaaah 10 days of rest..so sup everyone? Movies nothing to scream bout this past week..Shark Night was meh..so was In Time, I actually snickered when Justin TRIED to cry. And with that I end my movie rant.

Now I wanna rant bout the other love of my life..comics!Last month Uncanny X-Men ended it's run at #544, what a looongg journey it was. I started my X-Men collection at #244 (u know I just realize this when I'm writing this down! bonkers!) that issue came out 1989. Stopped when I got into college at 13 cause I guess my dad didn't have sufficient funds..hehe...did collect some issues from time to time but only really got back into it at #455 (hmm interesting) only because I heard my fav X-gal was back! (Psylocke)..plus...I was already working then..got own money,no need disturb dad anymore. Since then I've been collecting X-men again..along with other X related comics i.e uncanny x-force; New Mutants (a FAV!) etc.

And now one of the longest running comic ended..and got rebooted back! It's now Uncanny X-Men #1 again...I dunno what the deal is however I'm grateful X-men is still up and running..still find it weird though. And here's another thing...there's another title...Wolverine and the X-men #1 ...hish! Just so you know...I hate Wolverine with a passion. HATE!..the movie Wolverine (Jackman) is cool..but the comic one is one whinny fame whore bitch (redundant I know).

Thing is, comics per issue cost a LOT..back when I first started it was rm2.80 - rm3.50. Right now the price of a comic range from rm12 - rm16, and this is depending on where ur buying it from. I'm collecting as per last month 4 titles 2 of em comes out twice per month...and sometimes I do even buy TPB of old compiled X-related titles..now throw in Wolverine and the X-men in the mix..which conveniently comes out twice a month.

Like how the original Uncanny X-men ended, the X-people are suppose to choose side..team Cyclops or team Wolverine..great..one is ego maniac summers (cyclops) and the other fame whore all over the marvel world logan (wolverine)...GREAT choice..I like neither. So I'm gonna base my choice on who goes where.

both teams broken down to 4 different Issues, New Mutants I will never stop collecting, cause I grew up with this team. Generation Hope sux balls..so that's a no..X-men (just x-men) which is sorta a new comic that came out last year got Psylocke in it so I guess I gotta start buying that one (sigh), Uncanny X-men team sux! but since it's the core title I've been familiarized with all this while..I guess I'm collecting that one too.Oh another reason to collect Uncanny X-men..Sooraya Qadir is in team Cyke! Love that chic!





team wolvie (ho!) you have Uncanny X-Force, which I am collecting and will be continuing solely cause Psylocke is still in that title (Psylocke is playing double agent..yum!) Wolvie and the X-Men I'll be collecting only for a couple of issue..just for keepsake then I'm dumping it!..X-Men Legacy I was collecting but I'm thinking of dropping it..a pity though since Gambit / Rogue / Phoenix is in it. As for X-Factor..I've been collecting only as TPB but now with Havoc and Polaris (love both!) thrown into the new team..I'm having doubts..should I buy it as a monthly issue?..only time will tell cause Havoc and Polaris will be joining only next year..I have time to choose.

It's like Sophie's Choice..which one should I continue and which one should I drop, plus some titles come out twice a month! arrrgh! (I need a financial advisor). On the bright side thankfully I can now choose to not look at wolverine's mug..before this the dude was everywhere!...eeeeeveeeerywhere!..which annoys me to no end...nuff said..hehe (yeh aku end camtu je)

It's Halloween Baby!

..but today am working night :( sadden by this..but fikir-fikir balik officenyer Halloween prop masih ada...so boleh jer mengarut dengan props kat office nun..but before that sempat ah gak usha 1 filem, I went back to the 80s, zaman cheesy cool horror flicks. I choose The Blob, cause at least I know what to expect..unlike these recent horror flick I got which sangat-sangat lah mengecewakan most of it.



So The Blob, cool flick..masa kecik-kecik dulu aku tengok...adengan paling mengkagumkan bagi aku yg stuck selamanyer adalah adengan sorang budak nih kena sedut ngan The Blob..gila aku terkejut..dah ler budak..onscreen lak tu...siap muncul balik ngan bloodcurdling scream...brrrrrrrrr. Memang selalu if kids kena bunuh dlm film akan kekal embedded in my mind forever...that scene was one of it.

Aku juga suka The Blob cause ia main telan jer sesapa..even the good guys..yg made ko go "awwww dia mati? dem!"..patut ke aku samakan ngan watak Janet Leigh dlm Psycho? eheheh x patut kot..tapi this one dude mmg memula dulu aku ingat lead...sedor2 kena telan...hoh!...Cerita nih juga cheesy cool...dengan scientist mengarut mana entah yg tak abih ngan rant "infected!!" nyer...gila aku gelak lakonan ngan line pakcik nih..tapi it works lah for this movie. Cause in the end aku masih enjoy this movie...plus Shawnee Smith...reyeoooow! (I can't believe I just wrote that)

halloween week! day 6 & 7

Yeah did nothing for Halloween during weekend..mebbe next year ah kena plan ngan cuzz like last year..lame lak rasanyer duk rumah layan movie jeh

Day 6 was Saturday..layan The Woman..read great stuff bout it beforehand

Kisah family ni menyimpan wanita yang hidup dlm hutan..konon nak civilized kan The Woman nih. At first...aku cam tak horror pon cerita nih...psychology thriller at best...tapi lama2 syok gak. Tapi serious first 30 mins or so aku dah losing interest...nasib it pick up itself after. Cerita ni the ladies were AWESOME..also it's a hoot to see May (Angela Betis) on the screen again. The men also did good.

Gore was pretty cool..but the WTF twist? near the end caught me by surprise, wtf was that..I even went to IMDB message board to figure what that was. Great additional info there BTW..which you wouldn't have caught it..ok lah might..setengah orang hyper sensitive..or highly attentive. And in the end I love the open ending..it could be this but it also could be that (make sense?)...overall..love it

Day 7; two movies cause I got time ma...the highly (for me ah) anticipated Red State and Hellraiser : Revelations

Red State kisah 3 horny kids gi jumpa awek online dating..dimana rupanya ada udang sebalik batu..Film ni made by Kevin Smith...I love his work..even the stupid ones but this was a big letdown for me..tapi xdalah kecewa gila..it was a hit and miss. Aku suka cerita nih turn a 180 at every turn...memula ingat kisah horny teens (Hostel like)...tetiba kisah Preacher gila lak...pastu tetiba masuk Agents gila lak...mix nuts movie nih. Tetapi boleh turn off gak cause at times it was too much to handle. Part preacher tu preaching specially..though it made him a greater villain at times aku felt..eh udah lah tu..buhsan. The ending was sorta cool...but I would really love if it was the other way around..interesting enough..bila baca online...mmg Kevin Smith nyer original ending adalah the exact opposite..tetapi terpaksa change due to budget..baaaaah. Overall...boleh lah...

Hellraiser : Revelations? brought nothing new to the table..it was an easy flick really easy..and since it was a made for video flick I won't be overly harsh on it. Kisah nyer senang...2 budak bukak box..abih cerita..tried throwing in some twist but meh..whatever. Oh pinhead in here sucks bigtime..the new guy was pfffft...but on the plus the Chatter still looks cool..that's it..nothing to scream bout this flick

halloween week! day 4 & 5

Last night tengok Wrong Turn 4 : Bloody Beginnings. Sedar-sedar dah #4 ye.



Kali nih it's a prequel..the beginnings of the inbreeds!, I dunno why suddenly we're in this prequel craze phase, kekadang cam no point..ESPECIALLY kalau mmg dah tau movie ni prequel, cause obviously we know how it's gonna end...whatever lah at least something new to watch..kot.

It's near a good as #2 definitely better dari #3..started out pretty cool, with the origins of the inbreeds....then got really hot and sexy...slight mystery ahead..then some not too shabby gore moments (torture scene was RAD!)...then all of sudden the lead...LEAD ye..masa berjaya perangkap the inbreeds kata "we don't kill!..we don't wanna sink to their level" or something like that....and I went u gotta be kidding me????!!!!...worst idea ever wey!..lagi best semua yg tinggal which is agak banyak lagi agree...heeeeeeeeeeeeeh? bodoh bebenor....dan honestly after that..aku agak turn off cause bagi aku bunuh jer la semua character yg tinggal...Oh before that...aku suka black chic dlm cerita nih....coolness is you!


Day 5 spent tengok Don't be Afraid of the Dark with some friends yg lama tak hang out ngan.



Lakonan Katie Holmes ngan Guy Pearce! (aku xtau dia bakon cerita ni)...kisah dimana aku ingatkan memula haunted house tapi rupanyer kisah evil fairies(i'm gonna call em fairies) yang suka mkn gigi budak..nice.

Hmmm what to say...it does got the old haunted house horror flick dulu dulu...u know...creepy and draggy..tapi kekadang draggy bebenor sampai rasa nak bunuh diri..but luckily (kekadang ah) it was outshine by the AHmazing set...it got Guillermo written all over it...those woods design was nice!...

Creature nyer pon cool...tapi memula la...but it showed it's ugly mug shot...agak x berapa takut dah after. Apa lagi yeh..erm aku juga tak buy beberapa tindakan budak dlm cerita nih...but I can ignore it since dia budak. Hmmm apa lagi yeh...nothing kot...cause overall after you get over the amazing set...cerita nyer ok-ok je...OH ending nyer aku suka..tu je ah..hahaha...allrighty people...it's halloween weekend! enjoy!

halloween week! day 3

Gotta make this fast, no time to write shits today..

Saw Sector 7 yesterday..aku agak anticipate cerita nih. trailer looks cool..reminded me of Deep Rising..which was a fun ride! Sector 7 wasn't! Aku sangat kecewa.



The lead was annoying, there was no thrill, the monster was sucky (in the looks department) ,overly dramatic with their never ending slow motion scenes, score nyer gila tak masuk akal dan lacking in UMPH but maybe gak tu style Koreans ...you know how quirky they can be. Speaking of which...most of the characters were quirky but it either fails or got old reaaaallllllllllly fast.

A pity gak cause premise cerita nih dah cool. Trapped in oil rig..best pe. The plus, monster nyer after badly injured..kinda cool. 3 characters agak stood out, the pakcik with a past (macho sial)...and the two "love-birds"...their scenes were kinda cool and at least had some real suspense. final act juga agak ok la...kinda reminds me of Ripley's final battle...but after all that...the movie still sucks!

halloween week! day 2

Let's see if I cahttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifn get this going..judging from past aku cepat jer abaikan apa-apa blog project, konon blog project ah.

So last night saw another movie yg rotting dlm collection aku,The Echo 2008. Apparently it's a remake of a Filipino horror flick. Kisah convict ni (Jesse Bradford) dilepaskan dari penjara..no where to go dia balik ke apartment mak nyer..yg dah deceased.



Watching this movie kan the phrase watching paint dry comes to mind. Bloody boooooring...stuff actually happen near the 1 hr checkpoint. Mystery tu ada lah but after an hr cam ugh udah udah la tu...Jesse Bradford though a good actor in my book couldn't hold this movie for me...and I don't buy him as a convict AT ALL.

Then the ghost sure it's spooky...the kid specially..but eh, I've seen better..you've seen one asian ghost movie you've seen it all (this might come back to haunt me). Then aku particularly annoyed dengan hantunnyer motive membunuh / kacau...some make sense but this one dude seriously didn't deserve to die..what he got to do with the ghost's misfortune ...gila tak patut...annoying gila hantu camnih..Dark Water's ghost comes to mind..whinny ghost.

On the plus side, I did dig the ending. Kinda cool. Pastu ada sorang mangsa nih mati agak gruesome ah gak and then...eh...nothing else..ahaha..Overall...not really enjoyable but if you got time to kill...why not.

halloween week! day 1

This year Halloween nothing planned yet, office adalah some stupid games + costume "event" Jumaat nih..tapi aku dah amik cuti (berzaman before) lak. Nak tu nak join tapi..xda masa nak gi rent etc (mungkin juga aku difficult) weekend nih pon xda party hot yang aku scan kat internet (mungkin juga aku malas cari) ..so spend tgk movie jer lah kot..we'll see..sometimes ada jer benda turn up last minute.

So in the spirit of Halloween, this week lepas abih keje jer aku nak jenguk any horror flick yang aku lom tgk..banyak gak sebenarnyer..kumpul tapi x tengok-tengok gi. First up adalah film yang aku nampak di-recommend @ group aku join nih "Saya Suka Filem Seram" .. tajuk Burning Bright, honestly I don't get the title ..tapi aku mmg lembap skit bab bab metaphor ni.



Anyway kisahnyer Harimau nih tersesat dlm umah (yg agak besar) dimana ada 2 orang tgh menginapi. One a college chic one an autistic kid. Aku baca je syspnosis terus aku fikil kewlness! Dibintangi Brianna Evigan in which me like! Another fast up and coming scream queen..yg tolerable.

From beginning movie nyer agak slow ah gak, nearly lost me, plus the flick cam made for video jer aku tengok. But when the tiger starts prowling on it's prey..aiyo..suspen. The first time the tiger started to attacking that was a killer scene..aku gila suspen part tu (pada sapa dah tgk ...part laundry chute tu)..tambah hot..muka tiger tu gila Fierce! pandai ko bakon! Part-part lain cool gak..but the first attack scene tu..fuh! awesome.

Budak autistic tu..agak annoying, gila tahan minah tu...kalau aku xtau lah nak sabar camner. But it add in great conflict to the story..klu budak biasa jer mau normal gak cerita nih. Speaking of which, budak tu..not bad bakon. Brianna pon...but seriously pemenang nyer adalah tiger tu..kor rule with your sharp/menacing eyes...FIERCE! ..and in the end...movie nih agak menghampakan aku skit dari segi resolution dia..agak..meh...tapi overall..for this sort of flick yang berjaya make me jump...aku kata worth it..sila tengok.

iklan : aku tgk Paranormal Activity 3 weekend aritu, tapi xleh judge kerana ada pasangan nih bawak BABY dlm pawagam..yg tak abih2 nangis lak tu...manusia sekarang awesome kan?

Real Steel

Gonna keep this short and simple, Real Steel sangat lah best..I was really pumped watching the movie...my friends and I got separated in the cinema..while watching the movie...I can't wait to meet up with em screaming "BEST GILA CERITA TADI!"...that's how cool the movie was...watch it

Aku tak suka binatang

kata Ju lepas realized bahawasanyer cerita aku bawak dia tgk berkaitan ngan binatang/alien/monster or whatever lah ur gonna call it. Tapi in the long run, I think Ju consider the movie..hot enough, I think lah..she didn't say much after..just "cerita dia ok" which is good enough for me. Hey it's Ju, getting a reaction out of her ain't easy.

Now as for me, I love The THING 2011 ! Love it Love it ! And I thank to god that it's not a carbon copy of The Thing in the 80s. yeah I know it's not a remake, but a prequel!..how mind blowing is that!.

Now before I go on, nak cakap yg TGV ada cam contest where you watch a horror movie during this month, a zombie will walk in the cinema (before the movie starts of course)..and start picking on the patrons. If it picks you, ur in the running to win an Ipod Nano...I was so stoked! when I saw this...gila feel tgk wayang ada zombie dlm cinema! hohohohohohohoho....now THIS is what I call a great cinema exprience.

Ok the movie..I'll start with casting...solid! Mary Winstead is pretty to look at and seriously in the running to become an excellent Scream Queen with titles like FD3 and Death Proof under her belt!..take up more horror flicks..the other cast members?..I honestly don't know who they are, except that young scientist..however they are all solid. What I like about the Thing (old & new) is the paranoia factor, I remember watching the old one and kept guessing who's infected and who's not, I love playing the guessing game. (That's why I love slasher flicks) Few troubling factor though, if you've catch the trailer beforehand..ur bound to guess few of the infected peeps. The test scene!..love it! simple! not as good as the old one (i love to compare sue me)..but a nice touch and fairly logical...Mary Winstead character is a smart one..I did at first thought they were going for heat theory which made me roll my eyes back..I was surprisingly impress with this new test.

The not so cool? The CGI took away most of the alien's original glory, the old Thing looks raw and original...the new one while I salute em for staying true to the original..it ain't the same when it's conveyed in CGI..looks cartoon-ish (not always). One more thing I don't like is the alien space ship..it looked too awesome for a slimy creature..but eh it's just me...overall though...LOVE THE MOVIE..and I actually jumped once during the movie..and I needed that!...tq THE THING!

Yesterday I watched this supposedly horror flick Titled DreamHouse and it sorta reeks. With big names like Daniel Craig, Rachel Weisz and Naomi Watts you would expect something good, but by god this movie was lame and far tooo easy.

What ticked me off the most is how it was marketed, on radio they were advertising it as some horror flick with spooky kids, eh look at the poster itself..two kids blended to the wall...oooooh..but no..we have none of that..there were no spooky kids! The movie is more like a psychological thriller but seriously don't waste your time on this..you're better off watching Secret Window (which was so-so for me). Another thing I hated bout this movie is that it was way toooo easy!...How the lead figured everything out was easy..the twist was easy AND predictable...the ending was also tooo easy!..seriously..everyone involve in this movie appears to be lazy...pfft lame movie..avoid

An update...for real

Gamaknyer aku leh update bila keja siang jer ah, time shift lain either aku lupa / malas. Tapi don't fret..akan ku update walaupon xdalah ramai bebenor pengunjung blog nih..tapi aku suka-suka jer nak bebel sini...kat orang lain secara umum segan.

The J&J project is still going on..but moving slowly..watching movies @ cinema? still going strong. Latest watch was Contagion and Final Destination 5. Jom start with Contagion..erm honestly it's a good story..but I was seriously expecting something like Outbreak...I read somewhere "thriller it aint" mmg bukan thriller pon...a friend lak ckp "cam tgk documentari lak" .. in which aku agree pon. The story basically is about the makings of a virus, how u contain it, how it spreads blah3. More on human actions kot? They could have made it a bit exciting, you know to jolt people's mind halfway through the movie but nope..nothing. Oh but the cast is stellar, and they were awesome..Gwneth corpse can act!

As for Final Destination 5, honestly wasn't really looking forward to it. Cause basically it's all the same shit..plus The Final Destination (dumb title) sorta sucked balls...however after watching FD5..twice!..I love it..love it love it..it was fun! I was missing the very elaborated death scene from the last scene (except for Krista Allen's scene)...here there were a number of good ones. The favorite gotta be the Eye scene...I actually flinched watching that scene..and a few more. Also kudos to whoever made the trailer...they provided spoilers where you'll actually go "yeah I know this is coming" however going through the movie there's actually more to it. Loving it!..and finally the twist near the end, I actually sorta figure it out mid movie..but it's still a great twist..love it! On the flip (negative) side..there are few plot holes I want answers to but I don't wanna write it here...cause major spoilers galore..all in all...SUMPAH KOMER KENA TENGOK!

Now nak add one more movie I recently saw that got me pumped. Mother's Day 2010. It's a remake of an old silly slasher flick..I saw it once, didn't like it. The mother was over the top. Now as for 2011 mother..yoikes she rules. She's like Nurse Ratchet from One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest...she seems sincere but no..SHE'S NOT. Rebecca Demornay is unrecognizable to me, but whatever .. her acting here was solid..she alone made the movie awesome. As for the other cast..loving it!..some already establish scream queens (Jaime King) to a lot of up and coming stars. I also like this movie for creating great characters / soon to be victims that you actually don't wanna see die...most of em I don't want to die, and also I kept going back and forth who's gonna bite it next cause I don't really know (except for the lead of course..yg tu obvious)...and in the end, I like the outcome..I liked that quite a number of em survived...anyway...seriously..pick this movie up if you see it..one of the superior remakes in my opinion..-n-

Remember few post back I was contemplating to buy a Lead Base X-Men figurine or Scream 4 poster ..well I made my decision and my fellow colleague is there in the States now with the thingy..waiting for it to reach Malaysia...can't wait!!!!..anyway..observe

Wolverine...that fame ho

This is a comic related yapping post.
Wolverine, I hate im...he's seriously overexposed nowadays..dude needs to be killed and then bring back like 4-5 years later (like most X-Men characters were)
Initially when I started reading X-men late 80s Wolverine was pretty cool, a rugged middle age soldier..but since the movie came out..the dudes is overuse. Bub is everywhere!..he's even in the Avengers now!!!
Plus most covers even he's not a major character in that particular issue, his mug would be there..up front along with other X-men..but most of the time..he'll be place in the middle. He's even in some of the comics that doesn't really require his presence like New Muntants (fav!) and Generation Hope..bore man bore! ..
There a lots more of X characters to be develop like Dazzler or the lately really underuse Storm...heck even the new batch of kids could share some of the spotlight from time to time...look at Sooraya Qadir..where is she now?..the most I've seen her is like just 1 panel in like 5 issues this year...yeeeeeeesh!


and now..Cyclops and Wolvie are fighting..and Uncanny X-men..the longest running X-book..will end (until they decided to continue it again after a year..I'm hopeful) and 2 new books will be created..with 2 different X-Men groups. One team Emma (I dunno what will happen to Cyclops..dead?recovering?) and one team Wolverine..team Emma comic will be titled Uncanny X-men #1 (rebooted..but why bother kan?)...and Wolverine's team? ...Wolverine and the X-men #1 ...sigh. Oh come on! I know which comic I'll be buying now..however..I think I may even have to buy Whore n the X-men..solely due to the fact that my fav X-Men Psylocke might be in it..i don't see her joining team Emma...dang it! I guess I just have to deal if that happens..oh well..till next time..oh how's puasa? (sempat)

"NO" kata beruk tu

A short one before I ter-forgot to update; Rise of the Planet of the Apes is a pretty damn cool flick. My favourite moment gotta be when Ceaser spoke...brought chills to me bones!...and the climax battle..yow!..well made. I only wish that the ending would be slightly better. But overall I enjoyed the Ape infested movie..oh...the apes were very well made!

My Julie/Julia Project : 2 # 228 and more stuff

First off, Salam Ramadhan to all..have a pleasant month. Now to the movies we go..last week was fortunate enough to be treated to Captain America, honestly not a BIG fan of Capt..he bugs me..heck even the whole Avengers team I don't like..X-Men is still my team. Anyhoot, Captain America the movie is pretty good, the 2 hours spent in the cinema went pretty fast..which is good for me. Story was pretty clear..straight forward...I hate when all the pro america thingy came up but what do you expect from a movie titled Captain America right? I like Chris Evans..he was cool..but I wish someone else was cast as Capt..Chris Evans is still Human Torch to me. The chic was cool I guess but her gun blazing scene was pretty impressive. Red Skull was great!..but I may be bias a bit cause I like Hugo Weaving. Oh oh Stan Lee's cameo was funny!..it took me a few sec to notice him..he looks older than usual As for Captain America as a character..he was cool, was made too squeaky clean but when the action takes place the dude packs a mighty punch,plus his shield throwing action was fun(was waiting for that)...erm yeah that's about it..wasn't really blown away by Captain America..but the Avengers trailer at the end credits looks AH-MAZING!...Loki's back! *shriek!!!!

Out of topic, ini adalah kelibat puaka celaka dlm pawagam yg angkat phone bebel dlm 10 minit tentang hidup...nak je terajang seat dari bakang tapi dia adalah seorang MAKCIK!!!!!!!


Later after that I saw Hobo With a Shotgun. Some Grindhouse movie project I guess. I didn't like it at first...but the second half grew on me. Gross factor was way up there..you got guts, blown of penis etc. No one was spared in this movie, kids got torched/ rape (offscreen), a baby was burnt and nurses were hung to name a few damages that were done. I like watching great kills, those kids that got torch was pretty funny..seriously, the scene before they were killed cracked me up..but I don't actually like the burnt baby scene, fortunately it was done offscreen..I prefer babies to be off offscreen (not like Feast 2...sick sick!) Rutger was pretty cool as the Hobo but Gregory Smith for me personally was a weird pick..he doesn't ooze psychotic creep to me. Then the ending...lame. Overall movie was just ok for me...preferred Machete or Planet Terror more..

Entrapment

Unlike Fallen, I've seen this movie before in Ipoh. Why I decided to hunt this movie down is solely due to Catherine Zeta Jones very I'll just say awesome (cause it's Ramadhan hehe) training scene. Second viewing it still delivers, though now I find it extremely disturbing that Sean Connery was watching attentively from the side...brrr. Back then I use to think this movie was the shit..but now...the story was pretty crappy, the first 2 heist was pretty cool (solely thanks to Zeta) ..but the last Heist was kinda lackluster plus it's amazingly illogical. It is cool though to see the film shot in Malaysia, I wasn't actually bothered by the geographical error made by the filmakers..at least Zeta said "it's this beautiful" when she was in Malaysia, though it does seem forced. Overall I can say it is entertaining and I can watch it again but only till the 2nd heist....it went downhill for me after that..a pity too since Malaysia was shown after the 2nd heist..haih.


Next Film; I haven't seen this before..Field of Dreams
